(1) The Preliminary Announcement (PA) for our conference in Ireland in 2019 can now be downloaded in Word or PDF

from   Ireland . At the start of the PA (and also at the end of this email) there is a short notice about the conference.

We would be most grateful if you could post this to newsletters, lists and blogs you have contact with.

(2) Please note we have a year and a half to the conference so additional details such as registration fees, deadlines for papers, etc will be decided in good time in January 2018 and sent out to you then. We wanted to get all other information out early so people who are interested in attending can plan ahead, put the dates in their diary and apply for funding.

(3) So far, even at this very early stage, 240 people have responded to the survey asking for their intentions to attend, of whom 120 said it was certain or probable.  We are, therefore, assured of a good attendance, and planning is now moving ahead confidently.

(4) I would like to introduce my co-organiser, Jasia Morska, who has a very strong background in mathematics education in Poland and internationally. Jasia was a co-organiser of our second international conference in Poland in 2001 and since 2013 we have been working closely together on our project and other  international conferences and innovative initiatives. Please see her blog     for full details of her publications and many other contributions to mathematics education. Click English on the menu bar TRANSLATE on the RHS to get the version in English.

We look forward to meeting and working with you in Ireland 2019!

Alan and Jasia
